Here's what I've been up to in March.....

.....a new interiors book to add to my studio shelf, highly recommended is Selina Lake's Outdoor Living. A write up to follow up next week, with lots of gorgeous photos.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day designs are now available to purchase from my online shop and my stockist Powder Blue. Bespoke designs are also available upon request, please contact via email or my shop. These up-cycled vintage plates are one offs....no two plate designs are the same. All plates are carefully selected by me, from vintage and charity shops all over the UK....the prettier the better.

Loros Charity Event

Heart Vintage attended it's first event on Friday 14th March 2014. King Power Stadium hosted it's annual charity fashion show, all proceeds going to LOROS.

The event was a huge success, with over seven hundred people attending. The atmosphere was great, it gave me a chance to show my current designs, as well as try a few new ones. I was excited to set my stall up for the first time too, I displayed many Heart Vintage up-cycled plates, along handmade vintage mini bunting made from a range of vintage fabrics and my hoop art...again using vintage fabrics with my quirky printed typography designs.

It was great to get to meet so many lovely people. I had some great feedback and compliments. So many of you asking to see wedding ideas....which is something I will start working on over the coming months. The bespoke designs seemed to be of interest the most....I will definitely be showing more examples of these at the next event I attend.

Styling

After meeting Selina Lake last month she has asked me to design her a range of bespoke designs for her forthcoming styling photo shoots.

Since sending these to her she has been photographing the bespoke up-cycled plates and posting on her Instagram @selinalake.

I love the way Selina puts everyday objects together....the colours and patterns always work so well. I am excited to see if Heart Vintage plates appear in the magazines Selina styled for....watch this space.
